FIONA MCGEE
Fiona McGee is one of Australia’s most successful commercial directors. She has won awards at Cannes, D&AD, AWARD and LIA.
Fiona’s sophisticated grasp of comedic direction and her authentic and striking visual style were forged at Sydney’s College of Fine Arts, where she studied fine arts and made short films and documentaries. After COFA, Fiona began working as a production assistant. She then attended Australia’s acclaimed AWARD school and worked on the agency side, where she began directing commercials.
Fiona has since directed creative and quirky campaigns for some of the world’s biggest brands, including McDonald’s, Volkswagen, BMW, Hyundai, Toyota and ING Direct to name a few.
Her storytelling, which spans comedy and drama, narrative and documentary, is defined by a deep understanding of humanity. Fiona’s films capture the essence of real life, in all its glorious awkwardness.
