What We’re Made Of. And What Made Us.

CZAR is a multi-award-winning international film and commercial production company. It started, as most good stories do, with a few stubborn filmmakers and a feeling that something special was possible.

There was no grand plan. No manifesto. No big reveal. Just a shared instinct for ideas that spark, for stories that stick, and for people you trust to bring them to life. From Amsterdam to Brussels, Berlin to Paris, Hamburg to Zurich, CZAR grew by staying true to that feeling. The family grew too, with creative kin at Bacon and Arts & Sciences. A home for directors and producers who care deeply. About the work. About the process. About each other.

We’ve made films that changed our lives. Others that just made our day. Some wild. Some quiet. Some that got noticed. Some that just mattered to us. All made with care, and all part of what this place has become. CZAR is still run by filmmakers. Still led by curiosity. Still a place where bold ideas find the right hands, and a bit of shelter, to become something special, one wild idea at a time.

Below is a selection of our favourite projects from the last 3 decades.
