Daniel is half German, half Austrian, and grew up in the rugged beauty of the Swiss Alps. Szymon, born in Poland, wears his unusual name like a badge of honour.
Before becoming directors, Daniel & Szymon spent many years as creatives and Chief Creative Officers at some of the world’s most respected agencies. Their story began in 2006 at Jung von Matt in Hamburg, where they teamed up and never looked back. By 2008, they had landed at BBH London, a move that cemented their creative reputation. Four years later, they joined the agency board. From 2014 to 2021, they called Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam home, steering global creative work for some of the world’s biggest brands. In 2022, they returned to Jung von Matt as Partners and Chief Creative Officers where, under their leadership, within just one year the agency rose to become the 5th most awarded agency in the world at Cannes.
Daniel & Szymon created work for global brands and were lucky enough to receive many of the industry’s top honours, including Cannes Lions, D&AD Pencils and British Arrows.
Directing, though, was always their real passion.
Today, they bring a creative background and a deep love of storytelling to every project. Their work has been recognised with an AICP New Director of the Year nomination and is shaped by a simple belief: great films start with great ideas.
